Little did we know when we launched our CAMPUS fundraising campaign back in April, that the UMIST film we featured was to become a celebrity in itself.. not only featuring in the Manchester Evening News but also making a fleeting appearance on BBC’s ‘The One Show’ .. I know you all watched it.
And now our campaign has been short-listed for an award ‘Best Use of Crowd funding’, so we’ll be popping down to the Jerwood Gallery to see if we can pick up a gong.
But now we need your help … please vote for our campaign! Its very easy, just a quick click.
We thank you!
Update: We won! Thanks for your votes.
Manchester got too godamn trendy. It was about 1985.
About the time Remi Moses got injured. Terminal.
Hip?
I was a student from 1972 – 1975 at UMIST and during that time I stayed at Owens Park. Then from 1975 – 1976, I was a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester and lived at Grosvenor Place and was a Hall of Residence Advisor.
I now live in Canada, miss those wet Manchester days when you long hair took ages to dry!
